Will Smith Holds The True Keys To Happiness At Age 50!

In the pursuit of happiness? We think Will finally found the secret.

Will Smith has been taking the world (and by world we mean social media) by storm. For his 50th birthday Will Smith decided to bungee jump out of a helicopter on YouTube Live! If you didn’t catch it, no worries, it’s still on YouTube for your viewing pleasure.

If there’s anything we’ve gathered from Uncle Will’s social media lessons it’s that life is what you make of it. Here are our favorite tips gathered from his Instagram account @willsmith.

  1. Commit

Refuse to live your life in fear. Commit to things that bring fear out of you because these are the teachable moments in life. The things that bring you the most fear, are the things that will also sometimes bring you the most feelings of freedom.

2. Be Spontaneous

Spontaneity brings happiness! Not everything you do in life has a rule book, or has to be done by the book. “Live a little” means going out and doing things on a whim sometimes. When’s the last time you did something for the first time?

3. Spend Time With Family & Friends

Even if you’re down in the dumps, we can guarantee that a day or night out with the people closest to you will bring light to your life. How many times have you not wanted to go out to meet up with someone and end the day thinking, “Man, I’m so glad I got to see them today.” Allow your friends & family to bring a smile to your face. Stop letting life get in the way of that, set aside some time every now and then.

4. Uncomfortable Is Good

Comfort is cool, but have you ever conquered discomfort? That’s the best feeling of them all. Put yourself out there, think outside of the box, work towards your goals — because they damn sure won’t fall into your lap. You’ve got to shape your life and sometimes that means living outside of your “comfort zone” to grow!

5. Travel

Live your best life and see the world. There’s a whole lot out there to explore. Whether it’s by yourself or with some friends/family — get out there and see the world. Cultures and journeys is what opens our mind to be the best “me” that we can be!

We may not all be Will Smith and live wealthy lives, but we think the lessons Will is teaching through his Instagram has shown us that you don’t have to be. The keys to happiness is what you make of it. Go on and live your best life!
