Tips & Tricks To Get Your Teeth White & Bright!

Who doesn’t want beautiful white teeth? There are tons of products to choose from when it comes to teeth whitening. It is easy to spend hundreds of dollars on products; that promise to whiten your teeth. Would you believe us if we told you there are products in your pantry that will brighten that smile?

1. Activated Charcoal

Brushing with activated charcoal helps whiten the teeth while promoting good oral health. It changes the pH balance in the mouth and helps prevent cavities and gum disease.

How To Use: Up to 3 times a week brush your teeth with activated charcoal for 3-4 minutes. To avoid thinning the enamel, do not use more than 3 times a week.

2. Baking Soda

Baking soda helps remove plaque while polishing and cleaning your teeth. It also acts as a deodorant for the mouth by eliminating odor. Baking soda gently cleans the teeth without tearing at the enamel.  

How To Use: Once a day, sprinkle half a teaspoon of baking soda on your toothbrush and brush away!  

3. Oil Pulling

Try oil pulling with coconut oil. Coconut oil is high in lauric acid, which known to reduce inflammation. Daily oil pulling gets rid of bacteria, brightens the teeth, reduces plaque and gingivitis, all while strengthen the gums.

How To Use: Once a day swish coconut oil in your mouth for 15-20 minutes.

4. Hydrogen Peroxide

Hydrogen peroxide is the main active ingredient in many over-the-counter and professional teeth whitening products.

How To Use: 1-2 times a week combine a tablespoon of baking soda with hydrogen peroxide and mix until it turns into a paste. Brush for 3 minutes and rinse, then brush again with regular toothpaste.

5. Healthy Diet

You are what you eat. Maintaining a diet that contains fruits and vegetables helps strengthens your teeth and protect the enamel. Crunchy foods that contain lots of water like celery, apples cucumbers and carrots are ideal for a healthy smile.
